If getting a Wii was not a big enough shock for all of you who know me....we now have a DOG! Tyler showed enough responsibility and met some goals, that he earned the priviledge to get a dog. Of course we all know that mom does the work while everyone is at work and school, but all in all, Lance and the kids have done a great job caring for the new puppy. He is a Bijon Frise and is 4 months old. This breed of dog does not shed and the white coat helps him feel cleaner to me. Potty training is the real challenge, but we have now read a book that has given us some direction. We also decided to crate train Jonah so he does not get free roam of the house. I am much happier with this current arrangement. I must say it is adorable to watch the kids with him. Sierra thanks me every day for the new dog. Whitney is no longer scared of him. Macy even enjoys him and he is very gentle with her.

Happy puppy! Yeah, I am going to try and hold out as long as I can too. We will start out with something small in a cage first. But the dog looks great. Nice name too. How did you come up with it?
We started with fish...it is good to start slow with pets.
Yeah! A dog! I wish mom would let us get one! Can't wait to visit in August!

Two things: One, your family is adorable, and two, a dog?! I'm so proud! I know it's not in the Jergensen blood, but I am thrilled someone else broke down and got a dog. My Black Lab is hilarious, so I get it. =)

Laura - I could use some encouragment! Yesterday I annouced to the family the I was done with the dog. It is definetly not in my Jergensen blood. But I should get points for trying, right? Last night and today the family has been much better about helping. But if I am doing all the work and I don't like dogs....how does that work????
